この曲、1stアルバムに収録されていますが、その時の歌詞は日本語でした（最後だけ英語ですが）。5枚目のアルバムに再収録される際にアレンジも少し変え、歌詞も英語に。ただし歌詞のに込められた意味は同じで、「女性は海である」ということ。そして「母」と「海」の不思議なつながりについても歌われています。歌詞の中にある漢字はお分かりだと思いますが、フランス語は母がmèreで海がmer、発音は同じメール、なるほど、ううむ、深い。因みに英語でメール（メイル、Male）はオス、つまり男性ですが、ま、それはどうでもいいですね(^_^;)。
ところで、この歌詞、愛する女性への歌ともとれなくはないですが、BARAKAって恋愛の曲、結構まれであることに今さらながら気づかされました！その観点で歌詞を見ると、万葉集的な表現とも受け取れなくもないような……。
